Would Chris Nolan directing the next 'Superman' movie be a good idea?

Chris Nolan directed 'Batman Begins', 'The Dark Knight', and 'Inception'. Superman is not a very dark character (at all), and Nolan tends to direct darker, more realistic movies. Is the concept of 'Superman' going against the grain here?Would Chris Nolan directing the next 'Superman' movie be a good idea?I am sure Nolan would make a great Superman movie but I kind of wish he wouldn't do it.

I know with Batman that Nolan is against doing "outlandish" villains like Croc or Bane so I would think he would have the same attitude toward Superman's rogue gallery.

I am tired of seeing Superman fight Lex Luthor. I want to see Superman go all out on more of his physical foes like Doomsday or Metallo.Would Chris Nolan directing the next 'Superman' movie be a good idea? The reason the last "Superman" failed is because Superman is a very, very dull superhero; what needs to happen is: he lands on earth as a baby, but rather than Friendly Old Couple finding him, he lands in a crime-ridden urban area and is groomed to be a master criminal-villain. Upon reaching adulthood, he discovers where he came from and who he is, and must choose between a life of God-like power and decadence, and defending the people. A little good-bad humanity would revitilize the franchise.Would Chris Nolan directing the next 'Superman' movie be a good idea? He's not directing. He's producing Superman. But I think that he'll do a great job of helping with the script.
