I am 14 years old. i am a mezzo tone.

i really need an audition song.

the auditions are in a month or so,

preferably a song from a musical (famous but not over done) and it cannot be from the same musical. if you could help me. that would be greatly appreciated. thank you ! :]I am auditioning for the part of belle in beauty and the beast, Although i need an audition song.?Cinderlla/Sleeping Buetey is a fantastic idea, im a mezzo to and i know for a fact that "Once Upon A Dream" is way to high for me.. Its a song meant for a soprano so i would not recomend doing that song.



A Ciderla song in your range is "In my own little corner", it was written for a mezzo. Its also a similar style of music as Belle's biggest peice "home" (which is a great number) and has about the same range/ singing sytle. This song is also a fantaastic acting peice.

Try something from Cinderella or sleeping beauty. Similer style, but not too overdone (If I'm not mistaken) The range shouldn't be too much for you.

Once apon a dream or a dream is a wish your heart makes could be nice.

It's not very hard to remember and would show off your vocal range. Don's sing Disney songs, they will be way too overdone. Goodnight My Someone is a soprano song and not at all the right style for Beauty and the Beast. Do not do anything from Wicked, Rent, Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera etc as they are all way too overdone at auditions.



I played Belle, and sang Christmas Lullaby from Songs For A New World for my audition.

Remember, USE your emotions to make your performance while singing believable- most singers who sing at 14 are absolutely emotionless. Feel what you sing- act it. Don't just tune in with the piano.
