My boyfriend is Haitian, and he won't tell me what this means. What does "Son belle ti dame" mean in creole?she's a beautiful young lady
people shouldnt translate it directly from french it doesnt work like that. Son in cr茅ole doesnt mean "his" and even if it did, that wouldnt be correct because belle is feminine and son describes masculine objects. Son comes from "Sont" which means they are. Although knowing french will help you get the gist of most cr茅ole, it isnt 100% the same so somtimes there are false cognates
Son-she is
belle-beautiful
ti-little
dame-ladyWhat does "Son belle ti dame" mean in creole?
i think beautiful lady but im not sureWhat does "Son belle ti dame" mean in creole?yes it means "his beautiful lady"... if its the same as the french meaningWhat does "Son belle ti dame" mean in creole?
Creole is a variation on French. Belle, refers to beauty, beautiful, pretty and dame refers to woman, lady, female. My dad was from Tangipahoa parish near New Orleans, but alas, he's not around for me to ask any more. Try running it through a French to English translator and you should get the 'gist' of it.
Good luck.
I just ran it through the babelfish. It's most probably "You're a beautiful woman."What does "Son belle ti dame" mean in creole? That's a cute ( or pretty) girl
