Well, from the book, we know that Rhett was taking care of a boy, and that Belle had a boy...since Rhett took care of Belle throughout the book, that may have been the reason. But we'll never know. I've read the book and I don't think so. I think they try to make you believe that in the movie but from the book i don't think it is Belle's.
